First blog post
Welcome to my blog :)
My name is Liz MacLean (obviously) and I'm from the seacoast of New Hampshire but I go to school at the University of Tampa in Florida. I love surfing, photography, writing, dancing, cooking, and traveling. My dream job is to be a travel photojournalist for a magazine like National Geographic or Traveler--the perks are great, from free airfare to eating all sorts of interesting cuisine.
I'm taking Beginning Digital Arts at UT because it's a required course for many majors, but I think it will be very beneficial to my field of study. I would like to learn how to put together an advertisement from the idea to the finished product (nothing too technical, though), and how to use Adobe Photoshop. This will help me in the future if I need to make my own ad or manage people in an advertising firm, another job that sounds exciting to me. I've used Photoshop and In Design a bit before, but I'm ready to go more in depth. I especially love using Photoshop to edit my own photos, so hopefully I will be doing a lot of that in this class.
The first class of the semester was long (well, it was almost four hours...) but it was really cool to learn about programming and the 'behind the scenes' workings of programs such as Adobe Illustrator. I hope our class bonds well and can really enjoy this semester; I know I'm looking forward to it!
